MIT School of Architecture and Planning, Harvard Graduate School of Design and Harvard Law School are pleased to announce the third annual interdisciplinary graduate student Writing Cities Workshop, co-hosted on alternate years with the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics. This year’s topic is 'When spaces speak, what do they say?’ The aim of the Writing Cities Workshop is to provide a forum for graduate students to present papers within a peer review process, which allows for developing different ways of writing about the city. The workshop will be structured around approximately 20 papers, and the discussion panel will include Professor Richard Sennett, Professor Gerald Frug and Doctor Fran Tonkiss. We welcome papers that explicitly focus on the city in response to the call outline, from students in the following research centres:
